John “Terry” Gooden, 66, of Greenfield, Indiana passed away at home on March 15, 2016.
Terry was born in Danville, Illinois to John and Rosann Minnick Gooden on December 10, 1949.
Terry graduated from Seeger High School in 1968 and ISU in 1972. Terry was employed at the Soldiers and Sailors Childrens Home, Farm Bureau Insurance, and retired from Bethesda Lutheran Community Homes. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Terry was an IU fan and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and mushrooming.
In 1971 he married Melissa Backer who preceded him in death. Surviving are five children: Tracey (Jay) McDaniel, Rustin (Teresa) Gooden, Katie (Stacey) Clemmons, Terri (Neil) Klodzen, and Lacey Gooden (fiancé Wyatt Thompson). Also surviving are five grandchildren: Matthew, Cora, Mazie, Larkin and August. In addition: sister, Connie (Mike) Brenner and brother, Mike Gooden, special friends and caregivers, Dale Johnson and Karen Speicher.
According to his request he was cremated and there will be no services.

Sorry to hear of Terry’s passing. We had some good times together during grade school, high school and at ISU. I’m glad I got to see him at our class reunion a few years ago.
